Wood slipcase shipment update

Hello backers,

Thanks for your patience while we finish the wood slipcases for Spoons to Stir the Soul. We experienced significant production delays but are finally close to getting these shipped out. 

ALL of the books have already shipped out and you should have received those in May. But If you ordered an edition of the book that came with a wood slipcase then you are still waiting for that wood slipcase. 

We will start shipping out those slipcases by the middle of July and you should receive them in the mail by the end of July.

If you have moved since May then please send us an updated shipping address. Otherwise, your slipcase will be shipped to the same address as the book. Please respond by July 15 if you have a new address. If you haven't moved since May then no need to respond.

We hope you have been enjoying the book and are excited to finally get you your wood slipcase.

Shipping fees clarification

We are getting closer to the fulfillment phase for Spoons to Stir the Soul and wanted to clarify some things about shipping costs.

If you ordered your book on Kickstarter then we will be charging you additional shipping fees as per the Shipping Costs section on the main campaign page. Once we have more accurate estimates for the shipping then we will be following up about each of the charges individually. We expect to be charging final shipping fees near the end of March. Keep an eye out for those updates.

If you ordered your book directly through the Center for Art in Wood then you will NOT be charged any additional shipping. All the shipping fees were already collected in your payment to the Center.

If you have any specific questions then just get in touch.

We'll be sending additional production updates on our progress in the coming week or so. Everything is progressing very nicely and on schedule.

Spoons to Stir the Soul is ready for printing

Hello backers,

We are excited to announce that the Spoons to Stir the Soul book is ready for final printing in the coming week or so. All design and editing is done and the final printed proofs came off press yesterday.

A blank book mockup was created for testing purposes and will be sent to the manufacturer for final engineering of the wood slipcase. Testing was completed for the laser-engraved wood veneer plate for the back cover of the Special, Limited, and Collector Editions of the book. It's all looking beautiful.

The binding of the books takes the longest and that can be up to 8 weeks. We are working to try and deliver all of the books in May so we will keep you updated as we get closer to the fulfillment stage.

Please note that we will still be charging the shipping fees to your credit cards once we get accurate shipping estimates. A separate update will be sent out about that when the time comes. The estimated shipping costs are on the main story page.

Get your calendar by the end of the year—answer survey by Dec. 10

Calendars will be ready to ship next week but we can't mail them out until we get your completed survey with shipping address. In order to get your calendar before the end of the year we need your completed survey by Dec. 10.

If you finish your survey after the due date, the shipment of your calendar may be delayed.

Keep in mind that this deadline is just for any order that included a calendar. If your pledge level didn't include a calendar then you have more time to finish your survey.

Spoons to Stir the Soul BackerKit surveys are coming!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s essential to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

If you want your calendar before the end of the year then you need to complete your survey by Dec. 10, 2021.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping a month or so before fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers rewards. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. The shipping fee you will see on your survey now will not be the final amount, and will be updated at a later date. We will keep you informed all along the way!

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at spoons-to-stir-the-soul.backerkit.com/faq.

After surveys are sent, and you did not receive the email, and you Signed in with Apple through Kickstarter., your email address might be a private relay email address. We can help locate your survey and update your email address, please message us through Kickstarter with your Backer ID # found on your Kickstarter confirmation. You can learn more about your email hiding for your Apple ID here.
